Still Bright is bringing the first viable hydrometallurgical alternative to copper smelting to market at a moment when global copper demand is outpacing supply by historic margins. Our proprietary RACER (Rapid and Complete Electrochemical Reduction) process delivers fast, complete copper extraction while recovering precious and critical co-products, and as a closed-loop system it offers precise control over outputs and radically reduces environmental impact. Backed by top-tier investors including Breakthrough Energy Ventures and Material Impact, the team is moving from pilot execution into the next stages of commercial deployment. The Engineer III - Electrochemistry is an experienced engineer who supports the design, development, and iterative improvement of the RACER electrochemical cell. The person in this seat sets cell test objectives, drives the build–test–learn cycles that improve performance, efficiency, and durability, and translates results into next-generation cell designs that carry RACER from pilot toward demonstration scale. Long-duration stability and durability testing are a core input to this work; the Engineer III defines what to test, interprets failure modes, and converts findings into design changes. Work is largely self-directed with technical guidance and review from senior engineers. This is a hands-on role for someone equally comfortable at the whiteboard and at the bench, and the Engineer III is expected to set a strong standard for experimental rigor and to guide junior engineers and technicians on day-to-day execution.
