Responsible for performing functions associated with improving and controlling the current processes or products manufactured at SAS facilities. Work directly in with production tools or in a variety of support functions such as quality, systems, infrastructure technology, yield improvement, and more. Receive robust training, guidance and mentoring from experienced Engineers, Supervisors and Managers prioritize daily tasks. Focus on acquiring field-related technical skills (Certifications, SOP, systems, etc.). Build a basic understanding of equipment and/or processes. Receive general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring individual judgment on resolving day-to-day issues and/or making recommendations to higher-level Technicians and Engineers on the cause of issues and possible resolutions to problems. Effectively communicate via verbal/written means to immediate team and other SAS departments. Utilize software tools and languages, and data analysis skills. (Multiple Openings)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and completion of an undergraduate-level course, research project, or internship involving the following:
  • Processes, synchronization, scheduling algorithms, memory management, security, device management, deadlocks, and file systems
  • Database systems
  • Software development methods and lifecycle models
  • Graphical user interfaces
  • Object-oriented programming, fundamental data structures
  • Algorithm analysis
  • Database management systems
  • Relational data model, entity-relationship model, relational database design, relational algebra, and SQL
  • Alternative Architectures
  • Design, code, test, and debugging event-driven programs.
