Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field, or a related field and completion of a graduate-level course, research project, or internship involving the following: 1. Reviewing equipment designs and chamber maintenance; 2. Bulk and surface chemistry characterization (TEM, SEM-EDX, XPS, Ellipsometry, XRD); 3. Design of Experiments; and 4. Thin film deposition and infiltration of organic/inorganic materials.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for defect line performance specific to one or multiple sections of the line, leading the efforts of solving challenging defect issues and improving yield.
  • Take ownership over a section of the process flow including defect source investigation, trend monitoring, supporting Unit Part improvement items, and FCC (failed chip count) reduction.
  • Conduct analytical analysis reporting with recommendations to determine root cause of defects (finding insights and trends in our data).
  • Participate and potentially lead cross functional team meetings with Unit Part Representatives.
  • Initiate and execute defect reduction projects and root source finding activities.
  • communicate with internal and external customers as defect subject matter expert.
