About The Position

GeoSystems Analysis, Inc., a Trinity Consultants team, is hiring an Engineer I to support projects in mine reclamation, managed aquifer recharge, habitat restoration, and related civil, environmental, and water resources fields. The role applies engineering principles to assigned technical work and collaborates with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, technically sound solutions while building technical expertise and project experience. The position may be based in the Tucson, Arizona; Hood River, Oregon; or Albuquerque, New Mexico office. The Engineer I performs engineering analyses and design work, prepares technical calculations and documentation, supports drawing development with CAD staff, evaluates technical data and potential solutions, and participates in fieldwork and project-development activities as needed. Work is performed under the guidance of senior engineers. The annual salary range is $72,000–$83,000. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in a related engineering discipline.
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain one within twelve months of hire.
Two or more years of relevant engineering experience.
Experience with mine reclamation, managed aquifer recharge, habitat restoration, water resources, or related civil/environmental engineering projects.

Responsibilities

Perform engineering analyses and design activities related to stormwater management, hydrology, hydraulics, earthwork, landform stabilization, and related projects.
Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, design plans, and supporting documentation under senior engineers’ guidance.
Develop engineering design concepts and collaborate with CAD staff to prepare and review engineering drawings and plans.
Analyze topographic, geotechnical, hydrologic, soil, and other technical data to support project design and engineering solutions.
Identify technical challenges, evaluate potential solutions, and communicate recommendations to project teams.
Participate in field investigations, site visits, data collection, and construction observations as needed.
Support project planning and development, including preparation of scopes, estimates, proposals, and technical documentation.
