About The Position

Weston & Sampson is seeking an Engineer for their water discipline in the Portsmouth, NH office. This role involves the planning, study, design, and construction of water supply, storage, distribution, and treatment systems. Responsibilities include computer-aided analyses of water distribution systems, preparation of plans and specifications for permitting and construction, and working within AutoCAD and ARCGIS environments. The position requires the ability to manage a flexible workload, diverse project files, and collaborate with multiple staff members. Occasional day trips to project sites are necessary for field tests, data gathering, field inspections, and construction observation, requiring a valid driver's license.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • 0-4 years of experience
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Strong Writing and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Prior experience or coursework doing water resources, water treatment, water distribution, hydraulics, or related civil engineering design work
  • Experience with ArcGIS
  • Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Either in possession of or pursuing EIT or PE licensure status
