This specific role involves monitoring and optimizing etch tool performance, correlating inline process monitors to parametric measurements, and establishing equipment and process operating specifications. The engineer will develop OCAPS, design and execute experiments for new process development and manufacturing improvements, and participate in team activities to solve process and device problems, as well as reduce variation in critical processes. The role also includes providing training and technical direction to support personnel and next-generation engineers, analyzing and integrating project results, and applying planning and problem-solving tools like PFMEA and 8D. The engineer will also provide dispositions for affected processes and lots, communicate regularly with management and other functional groups, and prepare reports. Interaction with other technical groups within and outside Microchip is expected to exchange technical information and stay updated on industry developments. The role involves planning and execution of technical projects.
