About The Position

As a RAN Performance Engineer, you will deliver key technical support covering network service issues, optimization, maintenance, and overall network transformation. Your technical assistance will help keep our systems operating smoothly while revolutionizing how our customers live, work, and play. We are looking for a detail-oriented, RAN Performance Engineer / 5G RAN Performance Engineer to oversee field execution, wireless network testing, and parameter tuning across multi-vendor 5G and LTE networks. In this role, you will analyze and optimize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to deliver exceptional network quality and user experience. Our customers rely on our networks to perform flawlessly at all times. In this role, you will investigate, analyze, and resolve complex data and network performance issues to maintain seamless, reliable service. Your contributions will directly boost customer satisfaction and maintain our competitive edge. Additionally, you will leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) platforms and tools whenever possible to drive efficiency in a fast-evolving technical landscape.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • One year of work experience in IT or Networking.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills paired with verbal and written communication abilities for technical presentations.

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of hands-on technical experience in RF testing, network optimization, and wireless deployment.
  • Familiarity with passive and active RF components used inside buildings, such as splitters, couplers, antennas, and bi-directional amplifiers (BDAs).
  • Demonstrated understanding of OEM infrastructure platforms, including Nokia and Samsung Inbuilding, Macro, & Small Cell solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with field testing tools and post-processing applications, including Actix, TEMS, XCAL, XCAP, JDSU, WindCatcher, TrueCall, xLPT, IRIS, and Optis Analyzer.
  • Familiarity with RF planning software and reporting platforms such as Atoll, IBWave, MapInfo Professional, and Google Earth Pro.
  • Skill in tuning and validating propagation models to align RF predictions with real-world walk/drive test performance data.

Responsibilities

  • Performing field drive/walk testing and post processing & analysis of logs of relevant technologies and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Analyzing Layer 3 drive test data and coming up with optimization strategies.
  • Performing indoor RF coverage assessments by collecting scanner data, evaluating PCI pollution, RSRP, and SINR, and diagnosing coverage or interference gaps.
  • Managing customer eFEMTO deployments and diagnosing in-building system issues, collaborating with senior engineers to resolve customer complaints.
  • Troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing network applications and systems to maximize overall performance and availability.
  • Evaluating service performance trends, evaluating network coverage gaps, and formulating recommendations to enhance coverage.
  • Driving problem-tracking tickets across systems and continuously refining operational workflows.
