About The Position

Entegris is growing and seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Chaska, MN! In this role, you’ll design, optimize, and enhance manufacturing methods to ensure safe, high‑quality, and efficient assembly operations. You’ll apply engineering principles, problem solving skills, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance process capability, reduce waste, strengthen product performance, and support the introduction of new technologies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required; bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering discipline preferred.
  • Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment or hands-on work with processes, equipment, or assembly operations preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound engineering recommendations.
  • Experience with automated production machinery, including process monitoring, equipment optimization, and fixture/tool design.
  • Familiarity with contamination control practices (e.g., cleanroom assembly, semiconductor standards) preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in quality and process improvement methods (DOE, SPC, capability studies, FMEA, audits, structured problem-solving, value-stream mapping).
  • Lean Manufacturing certification or Six Sigma Black Belt strongly preferred.
  • Experience with NPI, validation/qualification testing, or engineering project management.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), Microsoft Office, and ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Improve manufacturing processes by implementing efficient methods, automation, and assembly techniques to enhance flow, quality, and yield
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation (instructions, routings, SOPs) and train production teams on equipment setup, operation, and maintenance
  • Participate in Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, lower costs, and shorten lead times
  • Provide daily engineering support to production to resolve quality issues, increase capacity, and ensure on‑time delivery
  • Participate in problem‑solving activities, including root‑cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation for internal and customer‑reported issues
  • Support new product introduction through FMEAs, control plans, qualification activities, and analysis of validation results
  • Develop ROI analyses and manage equipment upgrades, tooling, and fixture design to improve manufacturing capability
  • Participate in material disposition decisions and drive timely closure of nonconforming material
  • Contribute to 5S, safety, and Kaizen activities to ensure a safe, organized, and high performing work environment
  • Manage engineering projects, ensuring milestones, documentation, and stakeholder requirements are met
  • Support internal audits and maintain compliance with quality systems, standards, and customer requirements
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) through FMEA facilitation, control plan development, qualification testing, and validation data analysis
