Under general supervision, performs professional and technical work in conducting engineering reviews of capital, commercial and subdivision construction plans to ensure compliance with Federal, State and City codes and engineering standards. Work involves reviewing construction documents for sound engineering design and performing project management for the design and construction of departmental capital improvement projects and development project review. Work also involves providing technical support in responding to citizen concerns pertaining to roadway improvements, drainage, erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, traffic, or other departmental issues. Position can be filled at Engineer I, II or III level depending on qualifications and experience. Reports to the Development and Environmental Program Manager.
