Engineer I - Analog Design
About The Position
Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an Engineer I - Analog Design to join their team. This role involves designing analog and mixed-signal building blocks, simulating designs with CAD tools, verifying functions and performance at module and system levels, guiding layout designers, and documenting designs. The engineer will also operate lab equipment to validate silicon against chip and system specifications. Requirements
- BS is required
- Experience in the area of mixed-signal CMOS circuit design.
- Experience with Cadence Design Environment and circuit simulators.
- Experience in nano meter processes and FinFET transistor circuit design.
Responsibilities
- Design of analog and mixed-signal building blocks; i.e. Bias Reference, Voltage Regulator, PLL, ADC, DAC, operational amplifiers, filters, High speed SerDes, etc.
- Simulate designs with CAD tools
- Work with team members to verify functions/performance in module and system levels
- Perform mixed-signal simulations
- Guide the layout designer of circuit blocks for high speed performance and meet design rules
- Document designs and simulation results and conduct design reviews
- Operate lab equipment to validate silicon against chip and system specifications
