About The Position

This role applies electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles to components and systems. This includes the assembly, analysis, and documentation of results; construction of developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components; and quality testing. The position supports and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience; Ph.D. and 0 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge/experience with the design, operations, maintenance, and repair of electromechanical actuators, valve controllers, or other fluid system electromechanical components
  • Experience troubleshooting electromechanical equipment in shipboard and waterfront environments
  • Knowledge/experience with component qualification testing, particularly Shock and Vibration
  • Experience with Ship Alterations or Ship Change Documents (SCD)
