As an Electrical Engineer – Level 1 located in Dulles, VA, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. The Electrical Power Subsystem team for Northrop Grumman Space System's Defense and National Security operations team is looking to fill a starting engineering position. This role would be responsible for assisting with architecting, manufacturing, testing, and mission control operation of power generation, storage, and distribution systems for spacecraft. The ideal candidate for this position would have some previous experience or rudimentary knowledge of Li-ion batteries, Solar Arrays, the fundamentals of power regulation and conditioning circuitry, electrical testing, and manufacturing processes. Leadership skills, customer service experience, budget management, and a strong self-initiated work ethic are strongly preferred qualities. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off but does require some night/weekend shift work and periodic domestic and international travel.
