A CDO Analytical I&C Group Engineer serves as the technical analysis expert for CDO I&C projects, developing engineering calculations and analytical products that support safe, compliant, and cost-effective nuclear plant modifications from project scoping through implementation. The role is aligned with Lead Responsible Engineers (LREs), project managers, site engineering, and design teams. Modification examples include items such as PLC logic and program updates, control software upgrades, and complete digital system upgrades that support safe nuclear power plant operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) with 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience (for Mid-level)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) with 5 years of nuclear experience or related engineering experience (for Senior Level)
  • Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering analyses and calculations to support plant modifications and design activities.
  • Develop technical products used to justify design changes and ensure regulatory and design-basis compliance.
  • Provide analytical input during project scoping, estimating, and execution.
  • Support LREs and project teams by evaluating technical assumptions and engineering solutions.
  • Contribute calculation estimates used to develop project budgets and engineering cost estimates.
  • Ensure design changes are accurately documented in drawings, calculations, databases, and procedures.
  • Design aspects that are the subject of nuclear industry standard digital processes are the responsibility of the I&C Analytical Group. This includes the following aspects: Systems Design / Conceptual Designs, Procurement / Technical Requirement Specifications, Human Factors Engineering, Data Communications / networking, Cyber Security defensives strategies, Plant Integration, Design validation testing (SWIL, FAT…), Digital Configuration Management, Digital-specific analytical products (50.59. CCF susceptibility, SHA, CDR, HAZCADS / DRAM…)
  • Capable of being lead responsible engineer (LRE) for assigned modifications.
