About The Position

Prescient Edge is seeking an Engineer Electrical Electronics IV to support a federal government client. The availability of this position is contingent upon contract award. Electrical and electronics engineers design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing of electrical and electronic equipment, including broadcast and communications systems, electric motors, machinery controls, lighting, and wiring in buildings, automobiles, aircraft, radar and navigation systems, and transmission devices used by electric utilities. They work closely with computers and specialize in areas such as power generation, transmission, distribution, communications, and electrical equipment manufacturing. Their tasks include designing new products, writing performance requirements, developing maintenance schedules, testing equipment, solving operating problems, and estimating project time and cost.

Requirements

  • 4 years of experience with design, testing, production, and documentation of marine environment hardware.
  • 3 years’ experience with integrating and debugging multi-domain systems (mechanical, software, electrical) for robust maritime system performance.
  • 3 years’ experience with integrating, setting up and maintaining communications networks, including satcom, RF and wired networks.
  • 3 years’ experience maintaining and troubleshooting power and power distribution systems.
  • Experience with USV operations in support of military exercises.
  • Experience developing curriculum and training to enhance the military’s understanding of autonomous and communication systems.
  • Proficiency with python, Java, C#/C++.
  • Proficiency with electronics designing & prototyping.
  • Proficiency with power systems.
  • Proficiency with networking.
  • Proficiency with additive manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with communications systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering.
  • Secret security clearance.
