JMT is ranked #45 on Engineering News-Record’s list of the Top 500 Design Firms. The Trenton, NJ Underwater Inspection team is seeking an Engineer Diver to conduct underwater dives for inspections.

Requirements

Must be eligible for TN visa classification for immigration sponsorship.
Experience with underwater inspections for construction, bridge, and/or marine structures.
Ability to review and interpret plans and design drawings.
Proficiency in recording inspection data and assisting with report completion.
Strong safety awareness and ability to act appropriately in safety-related situations.
Team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

Check diving equipment to ensure it is functioning properly prior to dives
Use diving equipment to complete underwater dives
Review and interpret plans and design drawings
Complete underwater inspections for construction, bridge, and/or marine structures to ensure compliance to plans and codes
Record all inspection data and assists in the completion of inspection reports
Field work required, which could be performed during nights and weekends
Report any medical problems or symptoms experienced during or after the dive
Report any equipment issues, other potential hazards, near misses or accidents
Actively observes and acts in an appropriate manner related to safety
Team-oriented individual committed to achieving group goals
Perform other related engineering duties
