About The Position

The Omni Louisville Hotel is seeking an Engineer Class 2 to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained hotel environment. This role involves operating various equipment, maintaining water systems, observing electrical systems, and performing repairs in guest rooms and public spaces. The engineer will also be responsible for cleaning and general maintenance in engineering spaces, managing daily operations, responding to house calls via radio, maintaining building temperatures, and understanding emergency procedures and hotel/OSHA regulations.

Requirements

Class 2 operating engineer license
Universal EPA certificate
Ability to work AM, PM, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts
Schedule will vary according to business and operational needs

Responsibilities

Operating various equipment
Maintaining domestic hot and cold water systems
Observing various electrical systems to ensure proper operation
Making repairs to guest rooms and public spaces as necessary, including kitchen, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs
Cleaning and general maintenance duties in the engineering spaces
Performing other assigned daily operations
Receiving direction for house calls via radio
Maintaining temperatures throughout the building
Having a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies
Having a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations
Having a thorough understanding of OSHA rules and regulations
