This position is 100% onsite; no remote or hybrid option is available at this time. The role involves providing day-to-day engineering support in the casting area and related operations for the fabrication of turbine engine components. The engineer will work with management to support manufacturing improvements and ensure parts and components are produced in accordance with production planning, quality, and cost requirements. This includes performing design and analysis assignments involving tooling, production processes, and manufacturing issues in the casting area, as well as evaluating design concepts and feasibility under established engineering standards and supervision. The position also supports the setup, adjustment, and operation of processes on the shell line in the casting area, including automated functions related to mold handling, coating, drying, dewaxing, and metal pouring. Additionally, the engineer will assist in the development and implementation of SLA part numbers to improve casting yield and reduce costs, participate in scrap reduction efforts, document nonconforming parts, support employee use of computerized systems on the factory floor, review engineering drawings, and support workplace safety efforts.
