This involves defining technical solutions, preparing design drawings, and drafting specifications. You will perform the calculations and verifications required to ensure sound structural design, and review drawings and plans to ensure compliance with the project specifications. You will also participate in the preparation of service proposals, coordinate bridge and civil structure projects, and supervise the work of engineers and technicians, while supporting project managers. Additionally, you will coordinate technical aspects with other disciplines and develop innovative solutions.

Requirements

Hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
Be proficient with design software used for bridges and civil structures in Québec (Advanced Design America, CSIBridge, or SAFI).
Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
Have at least 8 years of relevant experience.
Be able to communicate effectively in French (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

Carrying out structural design for bridges and civil engineering structures.
Defining technical solutions, preparing design drawings, and drafting specifications.
Performing the calculations and verifications required to ensure sound structural design.
Reviewing drawings and plans to ensure compliance with the project specifications.
Participating in the preparation of service proposals.
