Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in powertrain or drive system development, calibration, and validation within concept or serial vehicle programs, preferably for electric or electrified vehicles (BEV / EREV).
  • Hands-on experience with Function development and integration.
  • Proven experience in function development across the V-model, including requirement definition, interface coordination, test case development, validation, and software release activities.
  • Experience developing, integrating, and validating Off-Road or driveline-related functions, such as mechanical locking differentials, traction or torque-based control strategies, or off-road driving modes including the UI/UX requirements.
  • Practical experience with calibration and validation on testbenches and vehicles, including calibration test trips, structured data analysis, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with calibration and development tools such as ETAS INCA, MATLAB/Simulink, and data analysis environments.
  • Ability to read and understand Simulink models and C-based source code to support calibration, debugging, and functional discussions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and suppliers, coordinating technical topics, timelines, and deliverables in a global development environment.
  • Highly motivated, hands-on engineer with strong ownership, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a passion for electric vehicles and off-road capability.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, integration, and calibration of the powertrain and drive systems for Scout pick-up trucks and SUVs (BEV / EREV).
  • Coordinate function development across internal teams and suppliers, including alignment on requirements, calibration strategy, software maturity, validation status, and release timelines.
  • Own the function integration together with the software development team, from concept to series release, ensuring a robust integration.
  • Define and manage On-road and Off-Road function requirements, interfaces, and operating strategies, including the support of defining the UI/UX requirements for the vehicle.
  • Develop and execute test cases for vehicle functions related to Drive System.
  • Work closely with powertrain hardware, chassis, vehicle dynamics, systems engineering, and E/E teams to align on technical solutions.
  • Support prototype and vehicle testing activities, including calibration drives, off-road testing, data collection, analysis, and technical reporting.
  • Collaborate effectively in a cross-functional and global environment to deliver integrated, high-quality powertrain and Off-Road solutions.
