This position offers the opportunity to work fully remote within the United States (except for Alaska and/or Hawaii). Team members who choose virtual / remote work should have an adequate space to serve as their home office, and must be able to work a schedule within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours. This position will require employees to come on site to one of our St. Louis campus locations a few times per year for meetings/events or as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Must reside in the United States (does not include Alaska or Hawaii)
  • Must be able to work a schedule within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours.
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
  • 3+ years’ experience in software programming and development
  • 3+ years experience in Unix Operating system.
  • 1+ years of experience with Rest/Soap Web Services
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high demand, and challenging environment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to various levels of management and with people with varying technical knowledge
  • Possess initiative, results-oriented drive and a solid work ethic requiring minimal direction

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • Experience creating and implementing PL/SQL in Oracle Database Environment
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies and tools such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration tools
  • Experience with source control management (GIT or SVN experience preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Debugging, patching, and improving the overall health and stability of applications in Vehicle Solutions.
  • Interpreting end-user business needs to develop and/or modify technical solutions for off-the-shelf and/or custom-developed applications.
  • Performing unit and integration testing and developing unit test scripts.
  • Using broad expertise and skills to resolve a wide range of complex issues.
  • Contributing to the development of company objectives and principles to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.
  • Assisting in the development of strategic planning for the department.
  • Mentoring and providing technical guidance to less experienced software engineers.
  • Following and implementing defined standards, processes and procedures for the department.
  • Researching and seeking out emerging technologies that would be beneficial to the team.
