THIS JOB DESCRIPTION DOES NOT ATTEMPT TO LIST ALL OF THE DUTIES THAT ARE OR MAY BE PERFORMED IN THIS POSITION. Primary Duties include working under close supervision with higher-level engineers on technical assignments. These assignments involve the construction and maintenance of pipeline systems, including material selection, procedure development, code compliance, and inspection. The role also includes evaluating leakage survey effectiveness, assisting in the design, monitoring, and analysis of pipeline systems (regulation, measurement, curtailment, loss/gain of natural gas), ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local rules and regulations, and designing system mains, regulator and meter settings, and corrosion control protection. Additionally, the position involves conducting field investigations with public contact for right-of-way acquisition, permits, and route evaluation, coordinating activities between Engineering and Operations for timely project completion, and providing specialized reports and studies. Work typically involves process checks or review of output by a co-worker or supervisor, with these checks becoming less frequent as the incumbent gains experience.
