About The Position
Cummins is looking for a talented In-shop diesel technician to complete its team at the Ottawa location.
Requirements
- In-shop diesel technician experience
- Ability to apply documented procedures and policies to perform diagnostics and complex repairs
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance
- Ability to complete required documentation (work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims, quality forms)
- Ability to maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
- Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation
Nice To Haves
- Experience with junior technicians
- Experience reporting issues/incidents to site management
Responsibilities
- Apply documented procedures and policies to perform diagnostics and complex repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance based on assessment of engine.
- Complete required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten or business system input screens.
- Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
- Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
- Adhere to and ensures adherence of more junior technicians to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.
