About The Position
This role involves the disassembly, nondestructive testing (NDT), assembly, and inspection of TRD engine parts and accessories. The technician will be responsible for verifying part mileages, adhering to build plan schedules, and updating electronic records. A key aspect of this position is contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and tooling, while maintaining a clean and organized workspace and collaborating effectively with other departments.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Hands-on engine build experience and strong mechanical skills with build tools
- Engine Teardown experience is a must
- Assembly experience
- Testing and inspection of mechanical components experience
- MS Office products: Excel, Word
- Passionate with cars is a must
Nice To Haves
- 5+ years in a racing engine build environment
- 1 to 2 yrs NDT (Nondestructive Testing) Technician experience
Responsibilities
- Disassemble and perform nondestructive testing (NDT) on TRD engine parts and accessories per Engineering processes
- Verify part mileages against build/spec limits
- Assemble components to the build plan schedule and test/inspect them using specialized equipment
- Update electronic build books and issue parts to work orders
- Contribute to continuous improvement of teardown, NDT, assembly processes, and tooling
- Collaborate across departments and keep a clean, organized workspace
