About The Position

Quinn is looking for a Component Specialist/Rebuild Technician with 5+ years of engine rebuild experience within Caterpillar machines. This role involves diagnosing and repairing components such as Engines, Transmissions, Axles, Fuel Systems, and Differentials. The position is located in the City of Industry, CA. Requirements

  • 5+ years of engine rebuild experience within Caterpillar machines.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing Engines, Transmissions, Axles, Fuel Systems, and Differentials.
  • LARGE ENGINE OVERHUALING, 36 series CAT, large vessels.
  • Determine the status of service needed for various Caterpillar equipment components (transmissions, engines, fuel systems, differentials, axles).
  • Perform complex repairs correctly such as teardown, inspection, repairs, test running, and/or painting of diesel engines in a shop environment.
  • Perform the necessary service, repairs, replacements, installations, or re-building of parts and to restore the equipment to proper operation.
  • Promptly, at start of shift, review work schedule, check equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, and prepare for operations.
  • Performs repairs needed to system component(s) (fuel Systems, Drive Train, etc.).
  • Order or obtain from stock the appropriate parts needed to make the repairs.
  • Install, replace, re-build or repair the component and/or equipment in a timely manner and according to specifications.
  • Test the part or equipment and perform quality check after work is complete.
  • Responsible for high quality repair service on equipment and engines, responding to customer needs in a positive, safe and timely manner, and ensuring maximum value for work performed.

Nice To Haves

  • One-year certificate or Associates degree from a community college or technical school.
  • Five plus year's heavy equipment experience or equivalent education and experience.

Responsibilities
