About The Position

The Boeing Commercial Marketing team is seeking a dynamic, experienced marketing consultant to serve as Boeing’s engine maintenance cost subject matter expert. This role requires deep engine maintenance knowledge and the ability to translate technical engineering data into clear, compelling financial value messages for internal stakeholders and customers worldwide.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 7+ years in the commercial aviation engine industry
  • Experience presenting to external audiences, executives, and government officials
  • Experience performing technical/financial/economic analyses (engine-focused)
  • Willingness to travel 25–30% globally
  • U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of engine repairs, shop visits, restorations, and work scopes for time and cost.
  • Familiarity with major engine types and engine Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) environments.
  • Basic technical knowledge of engine performance and modules
  • Understanding of engine commercial arrangements (Ex: Power by the hour, Total Care/Lessor Care, risk-transfer, time and material).
  • Knowledge of airline operations, leasing, contractual terms, and MRO processes.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to present customized analysis to airlines, lessors, and executive forums.
  • Experience in selling/marketing engine maintenance services or airline experience.
  • Experience modeling engine economics over lifecycle and understanding airframe maintenance costs (line, checks, components, spares).
  • Experience working with both Boeing and Airbus products.
  • A&P license or Powerplant certification

Responsibilities

  • Lead engine maintenance cost analyses and develop clear, defensible value stories from detailed technical information for engine products.
  • Build, maintain, and improve engine cost and lifecycle models
  • Clearly communicate engine maintenance value versus prior-generation and competing engines
  • Translate industry, competitor, and customer data into quantified business impact and value stories (in PowerPoint and other media) for both print and in-person presentations to a wide range of customers.
  • Influence internal stakeholders and engine manufacturers and commercial teams on design and program decisions that affect maintenance cost drivers.
  • Mentor internal analysts and collaborate with other subject matter experts: engines, economics, finance, performance, and modeling.
  • Standardize data collection, knowledge management, and communications for consistent market-facing materials.
