Engine Field Service Technician (Remote Site 14x14)
About The Position
Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to engines at the customer’s site. We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Travel to Remote Site). This is a 14x14 schedule; Travel to remote site - accommodation provided. Will make an impact in the following ways: Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products Maintain own tools.
Requirements
- 14/14 shift day/ night shift rotation
- travel to remote mine site and accommodation provided
- Basic level field service work experience
- Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
- Customer service experience
- Apprenticeship documentation and certification will be required prior to hire.
Nice To Haves
- Apprentice Trained Engine Technician
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
- Locally valid driving permit
Responsibilities
- Completes complex internal engine repairs
- Performs engine overhauls unassisted
- Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
- Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software
- Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools
