TRD is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Engine Build Technician, Cylinder Heads. This role involves building and preparing production race cylinder heads for final engine assembly used by TRD race teams. The technician will assemble components to Engineering specifications, following established processes, procedures, and quality standards. Key responsibilities include performing detailed measurements, documenting part/serial numbers, and accurate computation for spec and compression ratio confirmation. The role demands delivering high-quality work, addressing both scheduled and unscheduled tasks with accuracy and efficiency. The technician will operate Newen and Sunnen style cylinder head machining equipment to precise tolerances, maintain meticulous attention to detail in assembly and documentation, and update electronic build books with accurate component information. Support for continuous improvement by refining processes and procedures in collaboration with team members, troubleshooting issues, and building technical understanding to resolve challenges effectively are also key aspects of this position. Maintaining a clean, organized, and tour-ready work area at all times is expected.

Requirements

Minimum High School Diploma or GED
Minimum five years’ experience in a racing engine environment.
Proficient in operating Newen and Sunnen type cylinder head machining equipment.
Hands-on experience with cylinder head and sub-assembly builds
Strong mechanical skills and ability to proficiently use all build related tools.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

Build and prepare production race cylinder heads for final engine assembly used by TRD race teams.

Troubleshoot issues and build technical understanding to resolve challenges effectively.
Maintain a clean, organized, and tour-ready work area at all times.
