About The Position

Under the general direction of the Engine Production Manager, the engine assembler is responsible for assembling engines and measuring, inspecting, and assembling components to ensure maximum operating efficiency.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in a production or shop environment is required.
Requires working knowledge of basic mechanical skills and competencies.
Must have a proven track record of building race engines.
Must possess a sound understanding of internal combustion engines.
Requires basic computer skills.
Must possess strong communication skills and an excellent sense of customer satisfaction, communicating with other departments, and perform work as timely and precisely as possible.
Basic verbal and writing skills required.
Ability to create and Interpret technical documentation.
Basic math skills required.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations.

Detail-Oriented – ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret assembly blueprints and specifications manuals and plan assembly or building operations.
Maintain and lubricate parts and components.
Inspect and prep components for assembly.
Set and verify critical clearances.
Inspect and replace damaged parts in assemblies.
Maintain and lubricate parts and components for assembly.
Verify conformance of parts to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
Fasten and install piping, fixtures, and components to form assemblies or subassemblies using hand tools.
Work with Engineering to update BOMS & Prints
Work closely with management to address issues and provide solutions
Track Support when needed
Train new assemblers as they are added to the group.
Other duties as assigned by management.
