About The Position

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Engine and Parts Inspector for the 2nd Shift. This role involves performing basic dimensional and visual inspection of production turbine airfoils and other equipment using specified methods and techniques. The inspector will accept or reject material based on findings and transport parts, raw material, and fixtures. The position requires working from established written inspection procedures, drawings, and other instructions to plan and perform inspections. The inspector will utilize standard measuring techniques and inspection equipment, follow proper procedures for in-line checks, and arrange for repair or replacement of equipment as needed. Responsibilities also include completing logs, quality assurance forms, and other records, as well as performing routine servicing of the assigned area.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum 2 years of aircraft trades training or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years of work experience in aircraft engine construction, operation and related inspection methods.
U.S. citizenship is required.

2 years of aircraft trades training or equivalent experience and 2 years of work experience in aircraft engine construction, operation and related inspection methods.

Responsibilities

Perform basic dimensional and visual inspection of production turbine airfoils and other equipment using specified methods and techniques.
Accept or reject material based on findings.
Transport parts, raw material and fixtures.
Plan and perform dimensional, visual, and water and airflow inspections on turbine airfoils using established written inspection procedures, drawings, and other pertinent instructions.
Utilize standard measuring techniques and inspection equipment to verify accuracy of parts and accept or reject based on findings.
Follow proper procedures to perform in-line checks and verification of dimensions and ensure that operation sheets are followed.
Recognize need and arrange for repair or replacement of equipment used in performing the work as necessary.
Complete logs, quality assurance forms and other records as necessary.
Perform routine servicing throughout the assigned area following specified procedures and written instructions such as inspector’s check list for upkeep.
