About The Position

As a member of the Strategic Engagements team within Marketing and Communications, the Engagements Specialist plays an important role in shaping how our capabilities are understood by key stakeholders, including government partners, industry collaborators, and the broader defense community. The Engagements Specialist will ensure that GRVTY’s presence at strategic events is consistent and impactful. By managing logistics, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and overseeing event execution from planning through follow-up, the Engagements Specialist enables seamless delivery of tradeshows and other industry events. Ultimately, this position helps ensure that every interaction in the field reflects the strength of our people, the clarity of our message, and the importance of the mission we support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or a combination of education and relevant experience required
  • 3+ years of experience managing trade shows or conferences
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion and handle sensitive or confidential information appropriately
  • U.S. citizenship

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of event and CRM platforms such as Cvent and Salesforce
  • Familiarity with the national security and defense industry landscape

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the frameworks and processes that position the Strategic Engagements team for long-term success.
  • Partner across teams to actively steward the brand—driving consistency, strengthening credibility, and advancing cohesive efforts that grow awareness and recognition.
  • Lead the planning and execution of 10-15 engagements of varying size and complexity throughout the year.
  • Travel to events to oversee set-up and tear-down, onsite training, and customer engagement.
  • Manage and cultivate relationships with vendors and service providers—driving performance, ensuring accountability, and delivering consistent, high-quality outcomes aligned with business objectives.
  • Assist management with the implementation of enhanced technology tools for tradeshow use.
  • Oversee the management of the company’s corporate memberships—coordinating renewals, tracking benefits and utilization, and partnering with internal stakeholders to maximize value, visibility, and strategic alignment across key organizations.
  • Lead the end-to-end management of company merchandise overseeing vendor relationships, product selection, branding application, ordering, inventory, and fulfillment processes to ensure a high-quality, consistent, and on-brand experience.
