Requirements

  • An MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree, or a bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in Oil & Gas Refinery (Chemical Engineering).
  • 5+ years of Refinery operations management experience with excellent technical skills.
  • 5+ years of experience successfully managing workstreams (Blending, Energy Intensity, Hydrocarbon Loss Control &/or Value Chain Optimization ((downstream))).
  • 5+ years of experience with project management processes and methodologies.
  • Demonstrable experience in continuous process improvement.
  • Advanced proficiency in and knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to a variety of working environments.
  • Ability to engage and motivate individuals at all levels of an organization.
  • Availability to travel 60-100% of the time.
  • Eligible to work in the EU.
  • Willing to commit to travel to other European countries and further internationally as required.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent application of project management discipline and practices from initiation through project completion and close-out.
  • Manage assigned Oil & Gas Refinery projects typically ranging from $750K-$3MM.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of all tactical and strategic aspects of a project.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure additional opportunities to enhance customer experience.
  • Develop/review project proposals and plans to determine timeframe, staffing requirements, resource allocation, project structure, and implementation strategies.
  • Collaborate with Project Leadership to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Confer with project staff to outline work plans, assign responsibilities, and define workstream scope.
  • Actively review status reports and modify schedules or plans as necessary.
  • Deliver project status reports to management, clients, and other necessary stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain effective client engagement with client project teams.
  • Effectively manage conflicts and ensure timely resolution of issues that could affect project success.
  • Actively monitor the delivery of project milestones and sustainable results to ensure on-time, in-full, and within-budget delivery.
  • Participate in the delivery of training programs and act as a mentor and coach for Operations professionals, providing performance feedback and supporting their development plans.
  • Participate in or lead internal improvement initiatives as required.
  • Ensure team compliance with all internal policies and procedures.
  • Perform other responsibilities as necessary.
