The Engagement Manager, Life Sciences will be responsible for the success of key life sciences partnerships, managing engagements from technical scoping through pilot execution, delivery, and expansion. This role requires scientific curiosity, operational rigor, and strong customer judgment to ensure Goodfire's work translates into real impact. The Engagement Manager will partner with various internal teams and customer stakeholders to define success, manage timelines, and build trusted, long-term relationships. The role involves working with partners on critical problems in drug discovery, biology, clinical development, and scientific AI, requiring credibility with technical and scientific teams, precision in defining success, and pragmatism in navigating complex workflows and data.

Requirements

  • Experience managing complex technical, scientific, or enterprise customer engagements from scoping through delivery.
  • Strong project management and customer communication skills, with the ability to drive clarity across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn AI/ML and life sciences concepts quickly and translate them into practical customer-facing plans.
  • High agency, strong judgment, and comfort operating in ambiguity where the playbook is still being built

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in engagement management, solutions, consulting, or implementation for technical products.
  • Familiarity with pharma, biotech, computational biology, drug discovery, clinical development, or scientific research workflows.
  • Experience working with AI/ML, data platforms, developer tools, infrastructure, or other deeply technical products.
  • Track record of growing strategic accounts through strong delivery, trusted relationships, and clear expansion paths

Responsibilities

  • Own life sciences engagements end to end: manage pilots, deployments, renewals, and expansions from scoping through delivery and measurable customer impact
  • Translate customer goals into execution plans: clarify scientific objectives, technical requirements, success criteria, timelines, owners, and decision points
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery: partner with Field Team members, engineers, researchers, GTM, and customer stakeholders to keep work moving and risks visible
  • Build trusted customer relationships: serve as the day-to-day engagement lead for technical and executive stakeholders across life sciences accounts
  • Turn delivery into repeatable playbooks: capture learnings, identify patterns across engagements, and help shape how Goodfire serves life sciences customers at scale
