Requirements

  • Previous leadership experience
  • Minimum five years’ experience working with maintenance and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities
  • Ability to perform manual labor and lifting heavy object
  • This position requires the successful candidate to be able to obtain a Secret level clearance.
  • The criteria for obtaining and holding a clearance are driven by US government requirements.
  • You must be a US citizen to obtain a security clearance.
  • Selected candidate will receive a contingent offer and start date will be delayed until an interim Secret clearance is granted.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
  • Demonstrated desire for continuous improvement and learning
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with both junior and senior staff
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and takes initiative

Responsibilities

  • Development and oversight of the creation of cable pathway drawings which outline the precise route cables will take through the facility.
  • Oversight and direct supervision of the installation of various types of cabling and infrastructure for combat weapon systems, including power, communication, fiber optic, and data cables.
  • Ensure proper cable routing to prevent physical damage, interference, or degradation of signal quality
  • Supervise the correct termination of cables at endpoints, ensuring proper connections and compliance with technical specifications, ensuring
  • Ensure the proper materials and components are used during installations
  • Management of the cable removal process to ensure cables are repurposed or disposed of properly, without damage to surrounding infrastructure
  • Perform regular audits of cable installations, ensuring compliance with Navy standards
