About The Position
As an Engineering Tech at MKS Power Solutions, you will partner with Systems and Design Engineering to test, troubleshoot, and assemble the next generation of RF plasma generators. In this role, you will report to one of the Systems Engineering Managers. You Will Make an Impact By: Supporting engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment Applications may include analog, digital and/or logic systems Working from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting functions Conducting engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research work Performing operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment Conducting failure analysis at the system, subassembly, and component level Using manufacturing test, development or diagnostic equipment including but not limited to oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus which may require software skills
Requirements
- Requires an Associate degree or equivalent technician experience.
- Minimum of 1+ years of related experience
- Experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other electrical / RF instruments
- Experience using schematics to troubleshoot PCBA problems
Nice To Haves
- Use of computers to drive tests or collect data
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Use of LTSpice or other circuit simulation tools
- PCBA soldering / rework
