Position Overview: The Supervisor, Engineering Analysis is responsible for leading a team of engineering professionals who perform thermal‑hydraulic, structural, and analytical qualification activities for nuclear equipment, including steam generators, heat exchangers, and other critical components. This role ensures all design and analysis deliverables meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements, BWXT standards, and the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code. The supervisor also plays a key role in staffing, planning, coaching, and supporting continuous improvement of analytical methods and tools. This position reports to the Manager, Components Engineering and oversees Engineering Leads and Analysis Engineers. Location: In-person in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) status in Canada.
  • Strong knowledge of applied mathematics, strength of materials, structural analysis, and mechanical design.
  • Minimum 7 -10 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an engineering environment.
  • Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals, including Fluid Mechanics, Solid Mechanics, and Thermodynamics.
  • Detailed knowledge of the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code; experience in heat exchanger and pressure‑vessel design and analysis.
  • Familiarity with nuclear component design, manufacturing processes, and quality assurance requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and project planning skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers performing component design analysis and qualification activities for nuclear equipment and engineering services.
  • Develop manpower plans and ensure the team has the necessary expertise, tools, equipment, and software.
  • Monitor team efficiency, quality of work, and adherence to project budgets and schedules.
  • Prepare job schedules, including the list of required calculations, reports, and deliverables.
  • Support proposal development by providing engineering input and scoping analysis requirements.
  • Provide technical support to Project Engineering to achieve analysis and design qualification objectives.
  • Recommend staffing decisions, set performance goals, and complete ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Ensure component designs comply with ASME Code, customer requirements, regulations, and BWXT design standards.
  • Oversee and approve engineering reports, studies, and analysis packages; professionally engineer (PE) stamp reports as required.
  • Review inspection results and prepare technical justification for continued equipment operation.
  • Support investigations related to operating equipment, including developing analysis, test programs, or evaluation of test results.
  • Identify and lead Research & Development initiatives to enhance analytical methods, tools, and product design capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing during fabrication planning and execution.
  • Duties may evolve as business needs change. Employees may be required to perform additional tasks in support of organizational objectives.
