About The Position

Executes routine scheduling activities across multiple systems to maintain contractual obligations and optimize daily operations. Ensures data accuracy and collaborates with internal teams to resolve basic scheduling discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Typically requires 2 years of related experience.
  • Energy Scheduling - The logistical planning of physical power flows by an operator in the power market.
  • Energy Transaction Management - Managing the purchase or sale of a specified quantity of energy at a known transaction point or through an organized market.
  • Regulatory Compliance - Ensuring an organization's adherence to laws, regulations, guidelines and specifications relevant to its business processes.
  • Demand Planning - Forecasts and plans how to meet demand for services and products.
  • Data Analysis - Measuring and managing organization data, identifying methodological best practices and conducting statistical analyses.
  • Energy Trading Management - The processes involved in effectively managing energy trading activities within the energy markets.
  • Energy Market Analysis - Examination and evaluation of national and international regulated markets that deal specifically with the trade and supply of energy.
  • Energy Procurement Strategy - The strategic process of sourcing, identifying and acquiring energy contracts that best suit the needs of the business.
  • Requirements Management - The process of documenting, analyzing, tracing, prioritizing and agreeing on requirements and then controlling change and communicating to relevant stakeholders.
  • Outage Management - A variety of computer-aided systems to identify outages and provide instant alerts, and return power to the electrical distribution systems/ grid.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and submits nominations across multiple pipelines using Electronic Bulletin Boards (EBBs) and scheduling platforms.
  • Reconciles scheduled volumes against contractual entitlements and trader instructions.
  • Coordinates with counterparties to resolve routine scheduling conflicts and imbalances.
  • Monitors pipeline capacity postings and adjusts schedules to optimize flow.
  • Maintains data integrity in Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems or proprietary trading platforms.
  • Communicates scheduling changes promptly to traders and risk teams.
  • Assists in developing standard operating procedures for recurring scheduling tasks.
  • Provides input for daily imbalance management strategies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
