About The Position

New Leaf Energy is an experienced clean energy developer that partners with landowners, policymakers, and other stakeholders to accelerate the transition to a world powered by renewable energy. We identify high-value sites, work with landowners and local communities to develop them, and partner with long-term asset owners to bring the most impactful clean energy projects to life.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in the commercial and utility-scale energy storage market, with direct project experience in NYISO, ISO-NE, and CAISO regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency with commercially available energy storage technologies, including lithium-ion (LFP-based containerized systems), and familiarity with emerging alternatives such as sodium-ion.
  • Practical knowledge of utility interconnection requirements, transformer sizing practices, and balance-of-plant design for ESS deployment.
  • Proven application of U.S. electrical codes and standards, including UL9540, UL9540A, UL1973, NFPA 855, IEEE interconnection standards, and the National Electrical Code.
  • Skilled in the preparation of technical deliverables, such as system one-line diagrams and Round-Trip Efficiency/degradation models.
  • Direct involvement in cross-team collaboration with OEMs and EPC partners to assess equipment specifications, cost trade-offs, and warranty compliance.
