Energy Services Mechanic II
About The Position
Do you have a drive for troubleshooting and maintaining mechanics? If so, we are seeking to find a meticulous Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Lost Pines! In this position you will help keep our energy services funning smoothly. We are looking for a skilled mechanic who is confident in their core abilities but motivated to master advanced techniques. This is an opportunity to provide immediate impact through troubleshooting, precision machine shop repairs, welding, and full equipment remanufacturing. You will work under the moderate guidance of an encouraging leadership team and a chance to collaborate with senior colleagues!
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience in maintenance and/or repair of mechanical equipment or other relevant experience.
- A degree(s) in mechanical or industrial maintenance, instrumentation, controls or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Driver's license
Nice To Haves
- Experience in mechanical troubleshooting and/or repairs.
- Experience in adhering to welding procedures.
- Effective communication cross-functionally through external/internal stakeholders.
- Strong ability to collaborate amongst a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute installation, inspection, maintenance, and precision alignment of critical mechanical equipment, including air compressors, heat exchangers, gear reducers, valves, pumps and fans.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and fitting on piping and structural components, including specialist repairs to fiberglass piping systems.
- Conduct excavation activities in alignment with OSHA safety guidelines.
- Interpret blueprints , technical manuals, and schematics to execute precise repairs and maintain accurate, up-to-date system drawings.
- Collaborate with electrical and controls teams on cross-functional tasks and troubleshooting.
- Service friction and anti-friction bearings on heavy industrial equipment, such as turbine-generators, large boiler air fans, and high-capacity pumps.
