About The Position

Resource Innovations is seeking an Energy Program Analyst or Energy Engineer to join our growing team in Louisville, Colorado. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in electrical and mechanical building systems to join our team. This is an entry‑ to mid‑level role ideal for candidates early in their energy efficiency or engineering career. As an Energy Program Analyst or Energy Engineer, you will ensure that high-performance building designs are accurately translated from engineering intent into real-world construction by reviewing drawings and verifying installations in the field. By identifying discrepancies early and confirming system performance after construction, you will help safeguard energy savings and program integrity. You will also work directly with building owners and design teams to strengthen project outcomes through practical, efficiency-focused recommendations.

Requirements

  • Physical presence in the greater Denver, CO area
  • Physically able to climb ladders & lift 25lbs
  • Must have reliable personal transportation
  • Ability to read, interpret and describe construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail—comfortable comparing what’s on drawings vs. what’s in the field
  • General understanding of building systems (HVAC, lighting, envelope, controls)
  • Organized and able to manage multiple projects
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with commercial building design or construction
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency or utility programs (e.g., Xcel Energy programs)
  • Exposure to energy modeling tools or building performance analysis
  • Interest in sustainability, electrification, or high-performance buildings
  • BS Engineering or Construction Management

Responsibilities

  • Review construction drawings and submittals to verify that energy-efficient design features are accurately represented
  • Compare design intent to program requirements and identify gaps or inconsistencies
  • Document findings clearly for internal teams and clients
  • Visit project sites to verify that installed systems match approved designs
  • Confirm that high-performance features are installed and operational
  • Take field notes, photos, and coordinate with contractors and project teams
  • Meet with building owners, developers, and design teams
  • Identify opportunities to improve building performance
  • Provide practical, buildable recommendations based on real-world construction knowledge
  • Verify completed projects align with agreed-upon scope
