About The Position

Ensures all equipment is functioning effectively and is properly maintained. Completion of all assigned preventive maintenance on systems and equipment. Identifies, reports and corrects maintenance issues and reports to Department Leadership. Trouble shoots and repairs mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems and other hospital systems as required. Performs equipment rounds and documents failures and equipment performance to department leadership. Provides a daily shift report to department leadership. Assists Department Leadership with scheduling and overseeing shutdowns and outages associated with maintenance or construction. Serves as first responder to off shift maintenance request. Completes work orders in a timely manner as assigned. Manages the building automation system to ensure efficient use of energy. Responsible for completing special projects as assigned by department leadership. Ensures the CEP and other mechanical spaces are kept clean and organized. Communicates with other departments regarding maintenance issues. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC system repair skills.
  • Ability to manage building automation systems.
  • Ability to complete work orders in a timely manner.
  • Ability to perform equipment rounds and document performance.
  • Ability to provide daily shift reports.
  • Ability to respond to off-shift maintenance requests.
  • Ability to keep mechanical spaces clean and organized.
  • Communication skills for inter-departmental interaction.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a hospital setting.
  • Experience with CEP systems.
