Energy Operations Trainee
About The Position
Tri Energy Cooperative is seeking a motivated and safety-focused individual to join our team as an Energy Operations Trainee. This position is designed as an entry point into Tri Energy’s propane and refined fuels operations, with the opportunity for company-sponsored CDL training and career advancement into roles such as Propane Technician or Bulk Fuel/LP Driver. This role supports daily energy operations through product deliveries, equipment maintenance, warehouse support, propane tank installation assistance, and customer service. The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, willing to work outdoors, and interested in developing a long-term career in the energy industry.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
- Ability and willingness to obtain a CDL with company-sponsored training.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills preferred.
- Previous agriculture, propane, fuel, warehouse, or equipment experience is beneficial.
- Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lubricants, Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), and related products to customers safely and efficiently.
- Assist the Propane Department with propane tank installations, maintenance, and service work.
- Support fuel and propane operations through routine equipment inspections and maintenance.
- Load, unload, organize, and maintain warehouse inventory and materials.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Assist the maintenance department and other operational areas as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond professionally to customer concerns.
- Follow all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and operational procedures.
- Participate in company-sponsored CDL training and other required certifications.
- Work extended or seasonal hours as business needs require.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
