About The Position
SFE Engineering is looking for an Energy Modeler with expertise in eQuest to join our dedicated team in Flushing. Requirements
- Familiar with NYC code is a MUST
- 1-3 years of experience in energy modeling, preferably with eQuest
- Strong understanding of building systems and energy efficiency principles
- Proficient in energy modeling software, especially eQuest
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze energy models using eQuest for various building types
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to evaluate design options
- Conduct energy simulations to assess building performance
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with local and national energy codes and standards
- Utilize advanced modeling techniques to enhance energy efficiency
