About The Position

Parisi Labs is an AI company building learning systems for complex physical environments. We combine historical and live data with real operational context to help people understand the present, evaluate possible futures, and make better decisions. Energy is our first proving ground. Ask The Grid (https://askthegrid.com) is our public product for exploring the systems, markets, and assets that make up the power grid. We are a small technical team working across machine learning, data infrastructure, software, and real-world operations. We are looking for an Energy Market Development Lead to make Ask The Grid indispensable to utility teams and turn product interest into paid, sustained use. Your first focus is electric utilities, especially planning, operations, e-mobility, and load growth. You will learn how these teams make decisions, where their current tools fall short, and where our product can make a meaningful difference. You will build trusted relationships and carry opportunities from an initial conversation through a well-defined pilot or commercial agreement. Working closely with the founders, you will help determine what we build and how we bring it to market. This is a hands-on role combining utility fluency, product judgment, relationship building, and commercial execution. You will be building the commercial process while doing the work yourself. Utilities come first. Storage owners and other asset operators are a later area for expansion as we establish a repeatable utility offering.

Requirements

You understand how utilities plan and operate, whether through grid planning, operations, e-mobility, load programs, or related commercial work.
You can build trust with utility stakeholders and work credibly with engineers and machine-learning researchers.
You have moved complex customer or partner opportunities from discovery to a concrete commitment, navigating multiple stakeholders and long decision cycles.
You have the product judgment to turn customer conversations into useful priorities, not a collection of feature requests.
You communicate precisely, follow through reliably, and can separate what a customer asked for from what the company should build.
You are comfortable creating the process while doing the work yourself in a small team.

Nice To Haves

Market development, utility partnerships, commercial strategy, product, planning, operations, or customer-facing technical work in energy.
Experience with investor-owned utilities, municipal utilities, cooperatives, grid planning, or managed charging and load-growth programs.
Experience shaping or commercializing data-heavy software or AI products.
An existing Northeast utility network is valuable, but judgment and learning speed matter more than the size of a contact list.
Startup or small-team experience is strongly helpful.
A degree in engineering, energy systems, economics, business, or a related field can be useful; equivalent operating experience is equally welcome.

Responsibilities

Build a focused account map and credible paths into utility planning, operations, and e-mobility teams, starting with Boston, New York, and the Northeast.
Run structured discovery to understand decision workflows, existing tools, buying processes, and the people who need to support an engagement.
Use Ask The Grid with prospective customers and identify where it can become part of their regular work.
Shape and advance pilots and commercial agreements with a clear problem, scope, stakeholders, success criteria, and next commitment.
Work with product, data, machine-learning, and engineering teammates to turn recurring customer needs into useful product priorities.
Stay involved as engagements begin, helping the team deliver on commitments and understand what would support continued use or expansion.
Build a repeatable path from first conversation to paid use, keeping a clear view of opportunities and distinguishing durable demand from one-off requests.
Learn Ask The Grid deeply and map priority utilities, decision makers, workflows, and warm paths in Boston, New York, and the Northeast.
Run structured discovery with priority teams and turn the strongest opportunities into scoped product and commercial proposals.
Advance the strongest opportunities into committed engagements and establish a repeatable process for discovery, qualification, and follow-through.
