About The Position

Amentum is seeking an Energy Manager to support a government contract based in Kings Bay, Georgia. The Energy Manager is responsible for ensuring Contractor operations comply with the Environmental Management System (EMS), Installation Energy Plan, sustainability objectives, federal energy laws, and applicable environmental regulations. The Energy Manager will develop, implement, and monitor energy, environmental, and sustainability programs; analyze facility energy and water consumption; identify opportunities for operational efficiencies; and support continuous improvement initiatives that promote responsible resource management and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy Management, Sustainability, Facilities Management, or related field and two (2) years of relevant experience; or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with environmental procedures, energy management programs, or sustainability initiatives similar to those required under this contract.
  • Familiarity with Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and working knowledge of applicable environmental regulations, federal energy laws, energy and water reduction requirements, and renewable energy policies.
  • Ability to analyze utility data, trend reports, technical drawings, and system documentation.
  • Ability to perform facility inspections requiring walking, climbing, bending, and use of standard safety equipment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance and installation access credentials.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with BAS, Energy Management Systems, or SCADA platforms is desirable.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with EMS requirements, installation energy and sustainability goals, and applicable environmental regulations and energy policies.
  • Monitor Energy Management, Building Automation (BAS), and Power Distribution/SCADA systems to assess performance, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for energy and water savings.
  • Develop and maintain energy performance metrics, reports, and recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
  • Coordinate with installation personnel, facility managers, and customers to support sustainability, utility management, and operational reliability objectives.
  • Respond to system alarms and assist with troubleshooting energy-related facility systems in accordance with established procedures.
  • Conduct assessments of contract operations and recommend improvements that enhance environmental performance, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
