About the Opportunity Start Date: June 1st, 2026 Length of Fellowship: 10 months Location Type: On-site Are you looking for hands-on experience solving problems related to climate action and energy efficiency within a Higher Education context? As an Energy Management Associate in the Climate Corps Fellowship program, you’ll have the opportunity to build out the energy management program while working collaboratively with professionals across campus, representing a variety of roles and disciplines at the University of Puget Sound. This is an on-site position with the expectation of on-site work up to 5 days per week on site. Occasional evening hours to perform site walks as appropriate, not to occur more than once a month (fellows are encouraged to flex their time). The Fellow will be responsible for taking existing campus energy management efforts to the next level, including analyzing trends in energy use, researching improvements to data collection methods, and identifying opportunities for energy savings. The Fellow will create outreach materials for students, staff, and faculty on campus to drive behavior change. The Fellow will also have the opportunity to learn about other subjects within campus sustainability, such as climate mitigation and adaptation, managing solid waste, and encouraging sustainable transportation, as time allows. This role offers a meaningful entry point into campus sustainability work, with hands-on experience that can help shape your path in the climate field. Projects you will be working on include: Ensuring documentation is complete for Clean Building Performance Standard Compliance. As part of a larger asset inventory and O&M Plan development effort, integrating preventative maintenance measures for building systems into an existing work-order system Work as a member of the internal energy team to identify opportunities for energy savings and implement solutions. A student-facing energy efficiency behavior change campaign. About Our Partner: University of Puget Sound The University of Puget Sound is an independent, predominantly residential liberal arts college located in Tacoma, WA. Facilities Services at the University of Puget Sound is responsible for the management, maintenance, and operation of all of the university's buildings and grounds, as well as the physical development of the campus. Facilities Services houses the Office of Sustainability, which oversees campus recycling and composting, educational programming, strategic planning related to sustainability, and leads energy efficiency efforts on campus.
