About The Position

This position involves monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on the bank’s commercial Energy Finance loan portfolio. The candidate will work with the Market President to track, manage, report and present data on a diverse set of existing and potentially required metrics and results for the portfolio on both a regular and on an as-needed basis. Additionally, the candidate will be tasked with designing and implementing processes and applying technology solutions in order to facility the Energy Finance Team’s goal of streamlining and automating the existing processes and workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Finance or Accounting major preferred. At a minimum, the candidate should have exposure to finance and accounting through completed college courses and/or relevant work experience.
  • Accurate typing, spelling and grammar skills
  • Proficient with applicable computer software
  • Desire to continue learning and developing technology skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good organizational and customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Collects, manages, maintains, analyzes and reports on existing and potential portfolio generated data in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Creates, develops, monitors and updates models and tracking processes necessary for the Energy Finance teams’ existing portfolio and new/potential opportunities in order to report key business and industry metrics.
  • Works with the Relationship Managers, Portfolio Manager Team Lead, Portfolio Managers, Credit Analysts and Client Specialists to ensure systems of record and reports are accurate for the loan portfolio; ensures that management information is reported timely and accurately; and provides updates on status of portfolio management KPI’s.
  • Participates in internal conversations with PM’s, RM’s, Credit Risk Managers and various levels of management to ensure portfolio reporting and management is adequately addressed.
  • Draft responses, compile updates and presentations for the Energy Finance line of business, various working groups, dashboards, senior management, Board of Directors and outside 3rd parties.
  • Leads the efficiency and productivity effort by designing, implementing and teaching the application of various technologies (to include artificial intelligence tools) as required to automate and improve existing or new processes.
  • As required, this position will need to coordinate with the rest of the Energy Finance team to identify and report on trends, risks, and opportunities within the existing portfolio as well as in the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Participates in special projects and assignments and performs other duties as assigned to include working closely with the PM Team Lead to generate scheduled and unscheduled Price Deck updates, market research and updates for various internal reporting portals.
  • Supports the Client Specialists, PM’s and Credit Analysts as needed and as time-permits on various portfolio management and underwriting tasks.
  • Demonstrate high level of ownership, flexibility in responding to senior management deadlines, extreme level of detail and follow-through, and independence within the framework of the role in assisting in achieving business goals.
