About The Position

This position can be located in NYC / LI Region. Our client is a vertically integrated energy solutions and performance contracting firm specializing in the development, engineering, procurement, construction, ownership, and long-term operation of complex energy infrastructure projects. The organization delivers Energy Savings Performance Contracting, Central Energy Centers, Combined Heat and Power systems, renewable energy solutions including solar and biogas, and large-scale mechanical and electrical infrastructure modernization. We are seeking a Energy Engineer/ Project Developer to join our team. This engineer will work to identify and calculate energy and water conservation measures and to develop proposals for commercial and industrial clients. Peer review and teamwork are employed to deliver projects using a combination of engineering knowledge and experience, creative solutions, and thorough and comprehensive problem-solving abilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial or energy systems engineering
• 3+ years’ professional experience desired
• Demonstrated experience performing energy audits according to ASHRAE standards (ASHRAE Level 2 & 3 and Investment Grade Audits)
• Advanced knowledge of energy modelling/best practice/codes (ASHRAE, IESNA, NEC, etc.)
• Experience in seeing projects through - from proposal, implementation to completion
• Technical experience with energy efficiency technologies

Nice To Haves

• PE or CEM preferred
• Technical experience with energy upgrade projects and performance contracts a plus
• Hold one or more technology and industry certifications (CEM, CEA, CMVP, LEED AP, etc.) a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site assessments in prospect buildings then develop engineering solutions to calculate energy & water savings solutions
• Prepare sales proposal content to describe these solutions
• Define scope and pricing for the selected energy and conservation measures
• Commissioning of all the installed solutions
• Analyze all relevant data to validate the predicted savings as per IPMVP standards, ultimately responsible for the guaranteed energy savings
• Continuous professional development
