The Energy Engineer will analyze energy, HVAC systems, equipment, controls & other building system data and analytics to make recommendations that help clients achieve goals while driving pull-through for Boland. This role involves authoring building performance reports, developing Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs), and collaborating with account teams to present findings to clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Effective communication, relationship building, strong technical writing and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to do cyclical, process-oriented work and meet deadlines accordingly.
  • Quick learner, self-sufficient, self-starter, analytical.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of HVAC technical experience and/or controls experience are a plus.
  • CEM is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare building performance reports by using HVAC and energy analytics platforms and other data sources, developing insights accordingly, and making recommendations.
  • Detail findings and recommended actions using charts, graphs, and detailed written explanations.
  • Perform data collection and analysis on multiple platforms (BAS analytics, Fault Detection Diagnostics, energy analytics, dashboards) for the purpose of improving building performance.
  • Identify and develop Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) associated with recommendations, and calculate associated payback.
  • Conduct consultations with clients and account teams to review reports and provide recommendations on actions to be taken to improve building performance.
  • Participate in account team meetings to align reporting with sales and field team efforts.
  • Provide ongoing support to connected sites.
