EIP is seeking a highly motivated Senior Outreach Representative to support our client, in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania market. In this role, you will lead customer recruitment and engagement efforts to increase participation in non-residential energy efficiency programs, working in close collaboration with CLEAResult as the prime contractor. The Senior Outreach Representative will play a critical role in building awareness of program offerings and developing relationships with commercial and industrial customers, trade allies, community organizations, and other market stakeholders. This position will support participation in offerings such as strategic energy management, building optimization, and other existing-building energy efficiency services through targeted outreach campaigns, direct customer engagement, events, and ongoing relationship management. This role also includes supervision of Outreach Representatives, with responsibility for guiding day-to-day outreach activities, reinforcing consistent messaging, monitoring progress toward goals, and supporting strong team performance. The Senior Outreach Representative reports to the EIP Program Manager and works closely with account managers, engineers, and program leadership to align outreach efforts with customer needs and program delivery priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, environmental studies, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in outreach, account management, business development, customer engagement, or sales, preferably in energy efficiency, utilities, clean energy, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, or supervising staff and supporting performance management in a professional setting.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to explain program offerings and customer benefits clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, contractors, trade allies, and community stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and follow through consistently on outreach opportunities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using CRM systems or other outreach tracking platforms.
  • Commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and delivering high-quality service in support of equitable clean energy outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting utility-sponsored energy efficiency or demand-side management programs, especially those serving commercial and industrial customers.
  • Experience working with contractors, vendors, distributors, or trade ally networks in support of program delivery or business development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement outreach strategies that increase awareness of program offerings and drive participation across targeted non-residential customer segments.
  • Lead recruitment efforts for commercial and industrial customers to receive program services, with a focus on identifying prospects, generating leads, and moving customers into the program pipeline.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with customers, trade allies, community organizations, industry groups, and other market stakeholders.
  • Supervise Outreach Representatives to ensure effective execution, consistent communication, strong customer engagement, and achievement of program goals and key performance indicators.
  • Promote energy efficiency, electrification, and sustainability solutions through direct outreach, presentations, events, and coordinated campaigns.
  • Use outreach activity data, market feedback, and participation trends to improve strategy, refine priorities, and strengthen results.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and CLEAResult partners to ensure outreach efforts support a seamless customer experience and successful program delivery.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and oversight to Outreach Representatives; support training, reinforce expectations, and monitor progress against goals and outreach quality standards.
  • Conduct direct outreach to commercial and industrial customers through calls, emails, meetings, site visits, presentations, and event participation to recruit customers into PECO program services.
  • Track leads, prospects, follow-up actions, and conversions to help maintain an active and organized recruitment pipeline.
  • Help develop territory plans, target lists, customer segments, outreach campaigns, and engagement strategies based on market opportunities and program priorities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with trade allies, contractors, distributors, community organizations, government entities, and other local stakeholders that can support customer recruitment and program visibility.
  • Organize and participate in workshops, webinars, lunch-and-learns, conferences, and other outreach activities designed to educate customers and promote program participation.
  • Communicate program offerings, eligibility requirements, customer benefits, and next steps clearly and consistently across all outreach channels.
  • Document outreach activities, customer interactions, referrals, and participation status accurately and consistently in CRM and other tracking systems.
  • Collect feedback from customers, trade allies, and partners regarding barriers, interests, and market conditions to improve outreach strategy and inform program teams.
  • Work closely with account managers, engineers, and program staff to ensure qualified customers are transitioned effectively from outreach into program support and delivery.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates on outreach activity, pipeline status, stakeholder engagement, and progress toward participation goals.
