New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, is seeking an Energy Efficiency Program Liaison to promote energy efficiency programs to commercial customers, including municipalities, businesses, and multifamily properties, while managing projects from planning through completion. Partners with internal teams and external stakeholders to increase program participation, enhance customer engagement, and support sustainability objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 2–4 years of related professional experience.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience supporting project sales, execution, and oversight.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access) and other relevant business applications.
  • Effective verbal communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%, including occasional evenings and weekends as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with commercial HVAC equipment, project-based sales, or commercial energy efficiency programs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business development efforts through targeted outreach to generate qualified leads and advance new opportunities.
  • Present program overview and explain details to potential commercial (such as municipalities, universities, schools, hospitals, and non-profit entities) and multifamily opportunities.
  • Provide assistance and support to participants throughout the complete cycle from initial presentations to final project commissioning.
  • Review and explain energy audits findings and recommendations to participants.
  • Develop and maintain solid business relationships with program contractors, engineering firms, and program participants.
  • Help to coordinate all activities and interactions between program participants, contractors, SAVEGREEN staff and program contractors.
  • Provide timely project and prospective project reporting.
  • Assist in developing program forecasting and have accountability for goals and metrics projected.
  • Identify and recruit quality contractors to participate as program trade allies.
  • Support all evaluation, measurement and verification activities related to SAVEGREEN programs.
  • Help with Vendor interactions for Residential Programs.
  • Provide support to SAVEGREEN marketing and outreach efforts when necessary.
